    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: April 19, 2026

    Summary

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the rights you have over it. Dataset Labs is operated by Zonix Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (together, "Dataset Labs", "we", "us"), which acts as the controller for personal data collected through the Service.

    Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

    • Account data — email address, name (if provided), authentication identifiers.
    • Billing data — billing name, country, and the last four digits of your card. Full card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us.
    • Customer content — files you upload, prompts you write, and datasets you generate.
    • Usage data — log and telemetry data about how the Service is used (timestamps, request metadata, error traces) needed to operate, secure, and improve the product.
    • Device & network data — IP address, browser type, and approximate location derived from IP, used for security and fraud prevention.
    • Communications — messages you send to support and responses to surveys.

    How we use your information

    • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
    • To provide the Service — generating datasets, enriching data, managing your projects and credits.
    • To process payments, manage your balance, and provide receipts.
    • To communicate with you about the Service, including product updates and security notices.
    • To prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
    • To improve the Service — for example, aggregated analytics on feature usage. We do not use your uploaded content or generated datasets to train AI models.
    • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

    Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, we process personal data on the following legal bases: (i) contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for; (ii) legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve the product in ways that do not override your rights; (iii) consent — for optional marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time; and (iv) legal obligation — where required by applicable law.

    Your data and training

Files you upload and datasets you generate are stored securely and are only accessible to you and members you invite. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded content or generated datasets to train AI models, and we have contractual commitments with our AI sub-processors that prohibit them from doing so on their side for our traffic.

    Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions under written data-processing terms, including:

    • Cloud hosting and storage providers.
    • Authentication provider for sign-in.
    • Stripe, Inc. for payment processing.
    • AI model providers used to generate and enrich data for you.
    • Analytics and error-monitoring tools operating under strict data-protection agreements.

Enterprise customers can request a current subprocessor list and Data Processing Agreement (DPA) by emailing support@datasetlabs.ai. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll ensure this policy continues to apply.

    International transfers

Dataset Labs operates in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for these transfers.

    Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we remove Customer Content and account data from production systems within 30 days. Limited records (e.g., billing records, fraud-prevention logs) may be kept longer where required by law.

    Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

    • Access the personal data we hold about you.
    • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
    • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
    • Restrict or object to certain processing.
    • Receive your data in a portable format.
    • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
    • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@datasetlabs.ai. We'll respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

    Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. These fall into two categories:

    • Essential — required to keep you signed in, remember your theme, and secure the Service. These cannot be disabled.
    • Analytics — help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. Where required by law, we obtain your consent before setting these.

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may break essential functionality like sign-in.

    Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and, if changes are material, notify you by email or in the app. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
